Welcome to Thame Sports Club
Thame Sports Club is the non-profit making organisation responsible for managing the facilities used by Thame Tennis and Bowls Clubs. In reality this means booking out and maintaining the shared clubhouse and making sure that Chiltern Grove, the road that leads to both clubs, is kept in a state that can be used by both residents, club members and members of the public that use the Pay as you Go tennis courts.
Having said that, over Winter 2019-2020 our clubhouse is the subject of a redevelopment programme. The old building was demolished in September/October 2019 and is in the process of being rebuilt to provide our clubs and community with a modern facility.
The new clubhouse will be big enough to seat 80 people, will have a fully equipped kitchen, bar, toilets and changing rooms. On completion in Spring 2020 the clubhouse will be available for booking for meetings, events or gatherings.
Members of the Tennis and Bowls Clubs automatically become members of the Sports Club, but anyone can apply to become a Social Member of the Sports Club for a modest subscription.
